R182 Jacking & Hoisting - See Service Manual Section 2, p.3-4

Post by scottrsellers »

We recently joined Matt Van Bergen to help on his owner assisted annual. Jacking the R182 is always eye-opening no matter how many times you've done it, and having 3 people helps - one at each jack position. Reaching a cruise altitude of at least 16"(we use 18" to account for floor slope/variation) makes the airplane appear to be flying thru your hangar. There's no better way to inspect landing gear operation than cycling the gear while on jacks.
