Remembering the Cessna 210 nose landing gear(& mains) actuator system are same part numbers as our R182s, that is down lock pins/roll pins, hooks, actuator rod & bearing end are the same parts - this beautiful Vitatoe P210's NLG collapse(Nov2024) could have been one of R182s as well. Checkout https://baspartsales.com/1982-cessna-p2 ... gallery-17 for all the photos.
A great example of saving the cost of performing SEB95-20($1500-$2000+/-) cost someone their $600K+ airplane. Especially heartbreaking since the Vitatoe conversion makes the P210 an extraordinary airplane.
Closeup inspection of the left side down lock hook confirms the issue. See markups below.

Re: Another NLG Collapse due to failed down lock pin/roll pin
In late 2020 Air Repair in Prescott, AZ performed SEB95-20 as part of our prebuy and cost was $1300, which is approximately 10 labor hours. Air Repair's mechanics had maintained R182s so were familiar with this SB, meaning other unfamiliar shops may take longer/cost more.
We borrowed the drill guide tool(PN1290009-3) to avoid the cost of SK210-155(approx.$3000) which kept the cost low by avoiding the cost of the Service Kit. See SK210-155 components on p.11 of the SB at the below link. We're working on sourcing of the drill guide or Service Kit for a reasonable cost for the type club members.
The complete SEB95-20 document can be viewed in the Service Bulletins section at viewtopic.php?t=9
There's another C210 NLG collapse story in the articles section at viewtopic.php?t=10 where the pilot/owner tries to place blame for the event on his mechanic. The fact is this is a pilot/owner controlled item - we decide which SBs that will be done on our airplanes. Even with the SB completed I visually check the NLG downlocks as a preflight & post flight item. Why wouldn't you given the cost & down time of NLG collapse? Last year at OSH I checked all 16 R182s parked in the North 40 area and not a single one had SEB95-20 done, so our roll at the type club is to educate on these kinds of items and develop solutions to minimize cost of installation.

Re: Another NLG Collapse due to failed down lock pin/roll pin
Four years ago we borrowed the tool for a fee of a few hundred dollars from Will Mutter of Lake Aero https://www.lakeaero.net/ in Chelan, WA
Today I contacted Will and asked if he would be willing to lend the tool out to others and his response was he will perform SEB95-20 at his shop but is no longer willing to lend it out. Will's concern is that the loaned out tool might not be returned.
Will also advised his shop is backlogged at this time about 8 weeks so can perform the SB after that.
Today I also called Textron & Yingling(Cessna parts dealer) who advised the drill tool(PN1290009-3) is out of stock as is Service Kit SK210-155($3,785.05) and lead time for a new order is about 120 days. IMHO the cost of SK210-155 is ridiculous which is why we are working with McFarlane to provide the Service Kit but at this time have no idea when they might be able to provide it. Will advise when we know more.

Looking at RG’s and this is the number one thing I want to do when I get one. Seems like a no brainer.

If you don't have access to a drill guide, the best thing you can do is have your shop pull the NLG actuator and send it to Cox Airparts. They are widely known as the Cessna retractable gear hydraulic component overhaul specialists. They comply with the SB with every NLG actuator that comes into the door.
