Cessna R/TR 182 Pilots and Owners

In February 2025 we performed the Wobble Test(Lycoming Mandatory Service Bulletin No. 388C) on our IO540-K1G5 with 1700hrs in service and found all valves to have adequate but not excessive play. Our engine was built in 2003 and has the High Chrome exhaust valve which are supposed to help prevent valve sticking.
In the 300+ hours we've flown since acquiring the airplane in November 2020 we've used Camguard and changed oil at 25hr intervals no longer than 5 months calendar time.

Thanks Scott. My R182 which is the 346th produced, and owned since 2007; has the O-540-J3C5D variant; normally aspirated, had it since 65 hours factory reman. Currently has 1,175 hours. Currently, no known nor apparent morning sickness issues. Do use both Camguard and Alcor TCP for many years, and, since May 2023 been operating with Electroaire dual electronic ignition system.
