Installing the BatteryMINDer® BM-AIK2A | AIRFRAME INTERFACE KIT(Charging Adapter)

For 1979 & later R/TR182s installation involves connecting to battery + / - terminals then routing the wire bundle from the empennage past the MLG well on the right side of the fuselage up to the front side of the MGL well in the baggage area. See photos below of our install.
For 1978 models where the battery is mounted on the firewall wire bundle would be much shorter and likely involves access through or removal of the right side of the engine cowl.
The BatteryMinder site has a G1000 C182 installation example that would be similar to a 1978 R/TR182 adapter installation where the battery is in the engine compartment, but it's on the pilot's side instead of the co-pilot side in the 1978 model attached below or at https://www.audioauthority.com/download ... 140825.pdf
