I installed this Lycoming IO-540 AF5A1 upgrade to 260 hp in my 1978 182 RG in Dec 2024. Performs well to book values, picked up 8 to 10 ktas over the O-540 that came out of it, so I can squeeze 160 ktas out of it. Fuel economy seems improved. Cost installed was $115k but I had a few other upgrades. I replaced a JPI 830 with the JPI 900 which is primary, so I ended up with a shelf full of original 182 RG instruments, if anyone needs any, plus a JPI 839 that works well.
