Frayed elevator trim cable found at annual inspection

This is what you do Not want to find at annual, but is the reason we do annual inspections. Must replace cable before airworthy again. Replacement cable was $150 from McFarlane(in stock). Will follow up with pics of installation - not looking forward to this project.
