Toronto CRJ crash comments

My friend the major airline Captain has the following comments after seeing the hard arrival & bounce of the CRJ:
“I've landed in Toronto many times in those conditions… I'm not gonna lie the wind off the city makes the ground wind hit hard last 50 ft ...gotta carry some smash on the airspeed tape.”

For those who haven’t seen the security camera video, the initial touchdown looks to be very hard, then the airplane bounces and a spark ignites the fire.
