Every winter reports of cabin CO occur in our GA airplanes due to the pilot's lack of exhaust system condition awareness. If you're not aware of of your exhaust system's condition you need to be, or there may be consequences for CO entering the cabin. You do have a digital CO detector that remains in your scan - right? This article goes into removal, inspection and reinstallation of our R182's exhaust system and is shared with permission from Cessna Owners magazine.
