New Style High Chrome Lycoming valve guides

New Style High Chrome Lycoming valve guides
If your Lycoming engine was produced after July 2003 it should have their new style High Chrome valve guides which are intended to help prevent valves from sticking. The letter C is stamped on the cylinder head(see photo below) just above the oil drain back tube confirming the cylinder has High Chrome valve guides.
