Geoff Watkins of BAS Parts gave us a tour of their facility that was most impressive including their 44K SF warehouse where parts are identified and stored. BAS has made a science out of disassembly of piston GA airplanes like I've never seen.
BAS gets 6 to 10 airplane wrecks per week.
Checkout below pics where a new line up of airplanes was staged for disassembly which takes about a week.
The Mooney club gets 1st dibs on the below Ovation. That airplane it the ground hard and the wings were removed with saw. Hopefully we'll get first dibs when an R/TR182 comes in.
