Reminder for 100hr cylinder borescoping for normally aspirated engines, and 50hr borescope intervals for turbocharged operators.

Remarkable we haven't made more progress on single engine NightOps safety in the last 60+ years. Classic Richard Collins here.

Re: Electroair Electronic Ignition discussion with Darrell Pool & Mike Kobylik for Cessna R/TR182 type club 11/18/2025
Calling on Monday for the year end discount is the correct approach. Be sure to mention the R/TR182 type club as well to get their max discount. To sweeten the deal they might be throwing in something like some spark plugs as well.

Installing the BatteryMINDer® BM-AIK2A | AIRFRAME INTERFACE KIT(Charging Adapter)
For 1979 & later R/TR182s installation involves connecting to battery + / - terminals then routing the wire bundle from the empennage past the MLG well on the right side of the fuselage up to the front side of the MGL well in the baggage area. See photos below of our install.

Re: Purpose of OEM hole in front left baffle
Asked knowledgeable A&P/IA who's worked on R/TR182s since the 1980s about this hole. He suggested the hole could have originally been for alternator cooling duct, or for access to engine thru stud alignment or oil galleries port.
